By booking or renting equipment from Lens Craft Hire, the renter (you) agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms form a legal contract between you and Lens Craft Hire.

The rental period is based on the start and end dates confirmed at the time of the booking. The equipment must be returned on the agreed return date. Late returns will incur additional charges.

• All rental fees are due in full at the time of booking, unless a different payment arrangement is made.
• A security deposit may be required at the time of booking, which will be refunded once the equipment is returned in the same condition as it was rented.
• Weekly rental rates are available at a discount. Any rental exceeding the agreed period will be charged at the standard daily rate.
• Payments are accepted via credit card, bank transfer, or other payment methods as specified on our website.

• Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the rental period will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations within 48 hours of the rental period will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the rental amount.
• No refunds will be provided if the equipment is returned early or if the rental period is shortened.

• Delivery and pickup of rental equipment can be arranged for an additional fee. The renter is responsible for ensuring someone is available to receive the equipment upon delivery. (currently unavailable)
• If you are picking up the equipment, it must be collected from our office during business hours.

• All equipment rented from Lens Craft Hire is checked for functionality and condition before rental.
• The renter is responsible for inspecting the equipment upon pickup or delivery to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Any issues with the equipment must be reported immediately to Lens Craft Hire to avoid liability for damage.

• The renter is responsible for the equipment during the rental period, including any loss, theft, or damage.
• In the event of theft or damage, the renter must immediately report the incident to Lens Craft Hire and the relevant authorities.
• If the equipment is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair, the renter will be liable for the full replacement cost of the equipment, in addition to any rental fees due.

• The renter agrees to use the equipment only for lawful purposes and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
• The renter must not sublease, sell, or transfer the rental equipment to any third party without prior written consent from Lens Craft Hire.
• The renter is responsible for ensuring that the equipment is used by qualified individuals. Lens Craft Hire does not provide technical support for the use of the equipment.

• The renter is responsible for providing adequate insurance for the rental equipment during the rental period, either through their own insurance or by purchasing insurance from Lens Craft Hire(if available).
• Lens Craft Hire is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused by the equipment during the rental period.
• In the event of a dispute, the renter agrees to indemnify Lens Craft Hire from any liability, claims, or damages arising from the use of the equipment.

• If the equipment is not returned on the due date, the renter will incur additional charges. Charges are calculated at the daily rate for the equipment rented.
• Extensions of the rental period may be requested before the end of the original rental period, subject to equipment availability.

• The renter is responsible for maintaining the equipment in good condition and must notify Lens Craft Hire immediately if the equipment requires repair.
• Any repairs required due to misuse or damage caused by the renter will be charged to the renter.

• Lens Craft Hire will collect and store personal information in accordance with Australian privacy laws. Personal information will only be used for processing rental transactions and communication.

• Lens Craft Hire will not be held liable for failure to fulfill the rental agreement due to events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, strikes, or any other circumstances that prevent the provision of rental equipment.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of South Australia, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Australia.

Lens Craft Hire reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website and will apply to all future rentals.

Photo Identification
Accepted forms of photo identification include a valid Australian photo driver license from any state (dated up to one year after the expiry date), Australian passport, a valid foreign passport, Australian proof of age card (formerly 18+ card), or another form of ID that consists of your full legal name and photo.

Recent Proof of Address
Recent proof of your address on a utility bill, bank statement, or any other equivalent document no older than 3 months, which consists of your name and address. Save time and send this document ahead of time via email to [email protected]

Although our booking system may display the security deposit as “due later,” please note:

The refundable security deposit will be manually charged shortly after your booking payment is received.

• The deposit amount will be clearly stated in your booking summary.
• This deposit is held temporarily and will be refunded within 3 business days after the equipment is returned in good condition.
