Damage Waiver

1. What is the Damage Waiver?
The Damage Waiver is an optional fee that reduces your financial liability in case of accidental damage to rented equipment. This waiver is designed to offer peace of mind and covers minor accidental damage that may occur during normal use.

2. What is Covered?
If you opt for the Damage Waiver, your liability for accidental damage is limited to a reduced repair fee instead of the full replacement cost. The waiver covers:

  • ✔ Accidental drops or impacts resulting in minor damage (e.g., scratches, small dents)
  • ✔ Operational failures due to normal wear and tear
  • ✔ Damage from accidental mishandling within reasonable use

3. What is NOT Covered?
The Damage Waiver does NOT cover the following:

  • ❌ Loss or Theft – If the item is lost or stolen, you are responsible for the full replacement cost.
  • ❌ Water or Liquid Damage – Any exposure to rain, spills, or full submersion is not covered.
  • ❌ Negligence or Misuse – Any damage caused by improper use, unauthorized modifications, or failure to follow manufacturer guidelines.
  • ❌ Unreturned Equipment – If the rental is not returned, the full replacement value will be charged.
  • ❌ Burnt Sensor or Extreme Damage – Includes sensor damage from direct sunlight/lasers or severe impact damage.

4. Customer Responsibilities

  • You must report any damage immediately upon return of the equipment.
  • If damage occurs, you must cooperate with the repair process, and any repair costs beyond the waiver’s coverage will be billed accordingly.
  • If the waiver is declined, you are fully responsible for all repair or replacement costs in case of damage.

5. Cost of the Damage Waiver
The Damage Waiver is $50 AUD for every rental order and must be selected before checkout.

Without the Damage Waiver, the full replacement or repair cost applies in case of damage.

6. Agreement
By selecting the Damage Waiver, you acknowledge that:

  • The waiver is not insurance but a risk-reduction fee.
  • It does not cover loss, theft, water damage, or negligence.
  • You remain responsible for any excluded damages or full replacement costs if the waiver is declined.
